2) My intern Lu Yuan recieved "best student poster" award (http://vision.eecs.ucf.edu/) -- congratulations!
3) Vision conferences is more interesting than Siggraph -- I can learn more at here.
September 13 消失的地平线在丽江机场买了中英文两本《消失的地平线 Lost Horizon》，在回北京飞机上一口气看完了中文版的，真是写的好，尤其是结尾，让人无限遐想。 香格里拉真的存在吗，我相信。在世外桃源长寿，睿智，平静真的好吗，我怀疑。 上载一些照片在这里和Flickr。(Flickr什么时候在中国解禁呢？) June 26 CVPR 2007 at MinneaapolisBest paper:

做Research也要像下面这张在Minneaapolis拍到的一张照片：向前冲。 May 08 夕阳，湖水，和马背五一去了锡林格勒的达里湖和红山军马场，往返1,800公里。照片在http://www.flickr.com/photos/jiansun/
5.1 早上7:00出发，走张家口，下午3点多到锡林格勒。没有近城，直接去了达里湖，路上的风车可真大！
达里湖住宿100元，去湖边拍了派夕阳，吃了5块钱一条的烤华仔鱼。湖边没啥人，据说7-8月时一天有3-4千人。
5.2 早上6:00起来去湖边观鸟，还没靠近就飞跑了。看来没有小白是不行。
离开达里湖，经过赤峰，下午4点到了红山军马场。去将军袍子拍夕阳，整个将军袍子我一个人。晚上住在大胡子，80元有热水洗澡。大胡子的饭菜还是那么好吃。
5.3 早上6:00 去将军袍子信马由缰。我的马老想低头吃草，直肠子动物，没办法。
路过承德回北京，去避暑山庄门口看了一眼，people mountain people sea, 撤。
